CAL activation failed
You receive an error message which states that the "CAL activation failed".Usually, this issue is caused by the fact that you do not have a 4FREE license or your memoQ client is not yet activated as a 4FREE edition.
In order to acquire a 4FREE license key, please contact memoQ Support at support@memoq.com.
Please read this help articles if you need help with the memoQ client activation:
https://docs.memoq.com/current/en/Places/memoq-activation-wizard.html
https://help.memoq.com/current/en/Places/memoq-activation.html
If you already had a serial number (and memoQ activated) when the issue appeared, please do the following:
- Go to the My memoQ page by clicking on the blue memoQ button in the top-left corner.
- On the My memoQ page, click "Activation".
If the Activate edition is none, then please click "Update licenses online". - Once the memoQ client is a 4FREE edition, select the CAL tab and request a mobile license.
If you do not have credentials stored, please do the following:
- Go to the Activation menu as mentioned before.
- On the CAL tab, press Configure and fill in the credential details that you received from your vendor.
- Test the URL and fill in the user account details.
- Request a mobile CAL license.
- Press Clear.
- On the CAL tab, press Configure and fill in the credential details that you received from your vendor.
- Test the URL and fill in the user account details.
- Request a mobile CAL license.
- Project permissions grant you access to the said project and while you working on those projects, you receive the full benefits of a mobile Translator Pro license.
- However, project permissions do not grant you a stand-alone CAL license, which means you won't be able to claim one via the Activation process with your user account details.
- To claim a license via project permissions, simply check out a copy of the online project that you got access to and start working. Once you close the project or finish working on it, the license will return to the server.
- If you are uncertain that you have permissions to a project or a stand-alone CAL license, please contact your project manager or the server admin.
If you are still experiencing issues, we would recommend that you contact your vendor to check if your user account has the necessary credentials, permissions granted to it.
