5. Installing memoQ in multiuser mode
Preparing your system
You can use the regular memoQ setup package to install memoQ on your terminal server. However, the server needs to be prepared first.
To prepare the server, you need a tool called memoQVPrep. To prepare your server, follow these steps:
-
Download memoQVPrep.exe to a folder on the server computer, and then run it.
-
A User account control dialog appears first. Click Continue.
-
The memoQ Terminal Server deployment mode dialog appears:
By default, memoQ is deployed in single-user mode. Single-user mode means that memoQ cannot be started in more than one instance on a computer. You need the multi-user mode to deploy memoQ on a virtualization server. Click the Multi-user mode radio button.
-
To leave the memoQVPrep program, click the Close button.
Installing memoQ
After this, download and install the latest build of memoQ.
For installation instructions, see the memoQ installation and activation guide.
Important: Do not start or activate memoQ after installation. You will need to use a separate tool for activation. To learn more, see Licensing memoQ on the terminal server.
